In spite of Yoshiki’s recent health issues, he is determined to start plans for 2011 already. Some of these plans, however, include a few more tours in various areas of the world!
For starters, that new album they’ve been promising is about 90% completed, according to Yoshiki, so you can look forward to seeing it soon, possibly by spring. (We touched on it a while back, but the details haven’t changed much.) Also, X Japan is working on that Europe tour that they had to keep postponing. France, Germany, and England are already decided on and they are looking into other countries as well.
Yoshiki also has tentatively high hopes for another North American tour sometime around May that will include South America. He says the band has had invitations to perform in Peru, Brazil, and Chile, specifically. Either before or after that, though, there will be a few more shows in Japan and then later, perhaps summer or fall, X Japan hopes to tackle Asia stopping in Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand and perhaps others.
Yoshiki’s thyroid problems have worsened due to fatigue, but he says that he already has regular check-ups with his doctor so there’s no need to worry. Hopefully, he will take advantage of the next few months’ worth of downtime to recover before X Japan starts another whirlwind of activity.
